Djimon Hounsou is the latest surprise addition to the explosive,diverse ensemble of director James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 . Reports that the Blood Diamond star will join Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Tony Jaa, Kurt Russell and Nathalie Emmanuel with many more franchise favourites expected to be confirmed in the days to come.

Hounsou has a diverse upcoming slate which includes this month's romantic comedy Baggage Claim , the currently unscheduled Seventh Son , the "found footage" horror project The Vatican Tapes , DreamWorks Animation's much-anticipated sequel How to Train Your Dragon 2 and the Marvel Studios ensemble Guardians of the Galaxy .

Fast And Furious 7 is currently in production for a July 11 2014 release.
