RIDDICK REVIEW

Whats up Screen Addicts!!! A few weeks ago i did a full pictorial biography of Vin Diesel's anti-hero,action character Riddick (If you missed it? Your on your own. Check older stories on the site). Today we're gonna look at Riddick the movie,in this spoiler free review. "> Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick finds himself up against an alien race of predators. Activating an emergency beacon alerts two ships: one carrying a new breed of mercenaries, the other captained by a man from Riddick's past. This movie is a direct follow up to the 2004 box office his Chronicles Of Riddick. It picks up on a very odd note, showing a defeated, battle weary Riddick, very uncommon to what Riddick is known for. Where in previous movies Riddick has been able to hide his humanity, here the first 40 minutes exposes a human Riddick indeed. RIDDICK the movie sees a re-union with the director of the first movie in the series PITCH BLACK, David Twohy. At first glance RIDDICK looks like a PITCH BLACK reboot, but it does stand on its own in the story and action department. Expect to be thrilled with survival horror style over the top action, because RIDDICK as seen in this movie is the only hero that kept his promise about killing a man in 5 seconds, but i still prefer the kill he performed in CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK,where he took out a 300 pound man with a tea cup(awesome). RIDDICK IN 2000'S PITCH BLACK With a modest cast and a cameo ish appearance by Karl Urban (DRED,Star Trek),what the movie lacks in star power,it makes up for in what a movie should really embody. VERDICT: 8.5/10 A little more star power next time guys.:)
