EDITORIAL : ALL THINGS AMAZING

Here's my first blog, let me know what you think. Writing it gave me an idea to keep busy.

For all you hopeless romantics this post is not for you. Super hero geeks need some space.(Amazing spider-man 2 spoilers ahead)

Well,what makes a good movie... Ever wonder why some would angrily deride the amazing spider man 2 while it was the s*** for some? Well having given it enough thought, I would say being true to source material is king. The amazing spider-man 2 was not a bad film. That has to be made clear. For all the internet talk about how it should have
1. Been less funny
2.More about peter and harry
3. A tougher Electro
4.More like spider-man 2 (Sam Raimi)
5.Doesn't get them hyped for sinister six.
 
I would like to say while those seem like very interesting points , it just wouldn't be better that way. Take for instance : A less funny spider-man movie. My question is this...is it still spider-man if he is less funny. Spider-man taunts his villains. So much so that he never really got the chance in the old trilogy, Now Mark webb(the amazing spider-man director) is trying to give us a different spin (pun intended) on the wall crawler,and we bash him. Nope he got it right there.

Secondly if The Amazing Spider-man 2 was more about peter and harrys inevitable great friendship turned sour, we would have slept half way through the movie In the cinema,YES that's true ,and while some would say "NO "they would prefer it that way, please don't forget what happened to the ROBOCOP reboot.

 Thirdly, please how much better would an enemy made out of electricity be, I mean spidey is a kid scientist, electro being electric current meant he could be some how dealt with, we aren't talking lightning here,its electricity. Give him a fight that he has to stay in ..like venom,then you got it. By the way Electro was never that tough. Just tricky.

An finally if we got spider-man 2(sam Raimi) in 2014 , we wouldn't consider it a classic. Wake up people, the avengers rocked because of mordern special effects that lasted several minutes. Spider-man 2 was a classic. But it just wouldn't FLY in todays cinema.

Some say the rights should return to Marvel,while I don't mind that,let's not forget that marvel too might have pulled a THOR 2/ IRON MAN 3 stunt to enrage fans.
At the end of the day ,sources say the movie was meant to build up to the sinister six, so let me ask one question. If spidey has a hard time beating Electro or green goblin....how would he face the sinister six all at once,(with no help to call on) with Gwen no more? Just enjoy the movie for what it was,it was closest we have gotten to a true spider-man in hollywood.
