SILENT HILL 2 Preps For Release

According to IGN's very own Chris Carle moderated Saturday's panel for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D at San Diego Comic-Con. Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) directs this long-awaited video game movie sequel, which sees original cast members Sean Bean, Rhada Mitchell and Deborah Kara Unger reprising their roles from the 2006 film. Bean is also joined in the cast by his Game of Thrones "son" Kit Harington, who unfortunately had to cancel on his SDCC appearance due to a broken ankle.

Bassett was joined onstage by his leading lady Adelaide Clemens, who plays Heather Mason. She finds that her continuing nightmares about a place called Silent Hill are actually premonitions. The forces of darkness have sent their agents after Heather and Christopher and soon they are drawn back to Silent Hill. Genre icons Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) and Malcolm McDowell (Halloween, A Clockwork Orange) co-star as Claudia Wolf and Leonard Wolf, respectively.
