AVATAR 2 News Update
"Steven was so memorable in the first film, we're privileged to have him back," Cameron told Deadline. "I'm not going to say exactly HOW we're bringing him back, but it's a science fiction story, after all. His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who's also become a good friend."
The star of Avatar Sam Worthington recently revealed that Avatar 2, 3 and 4 begin filming next fall, with Avatar 2 slated for a 2015 release.
Fox has scheduled Avatar 2 to hit theaters in December 2016, with Avatar 3 slated for December 2017, and Avatar 4 the year after that. (Wow,that's a long long time)

Mortal Instruments? :(
The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is a 2013 German-American adventure fantasy film based on the first book of The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. The story takes place in an urban and contemporary New York City. Directed by Harald Zwart, the film stars an international cast, including Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Kevin Zegers, Jemima West, Godfrey Gao, Lena Headey, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Aidan Turner, Robert Sheehan, Kevin Durand, and Jared Harris. It was released in theaters on August 21, 2013.
Synopsis:
When Clary Fray's mother disappears, she learns that she descends from a line of warriors who protect our world from demons. She joins forces with others like her and heads into a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld.
Sounds promising right? As usual I'll keep the reviews spoiler free. The movie though ambitious, puts together the worst cast ever. Loaded with bad performances and convoluted story telling and more plot holes than a swiss cheese. This movie isn't for the keen minded. Its just that BAD.
4.5/10 its better you watch it on cable...and save your money.

JASON STATHAM ALMOST DIED
Jason Statham had a near death experience while shooting The Expendables 3, and co-star Terry Crews shared the story of how it all when down while talking to Jay Leno. "He basically drove off of a cliff into the Black Sea and lived to see another day. This makes me wonder why Warner Bros. didn't cast Statham as Batman, he's basically Batman in real life anyway".

Must See Independence Day Movies
Alright guys Nigeria is 53,so let's do it green. I've taken the liberty to select two promising movies showing in cinemas near you,to aid the celebration of our independence. Crappy or not, the movies have potential and should be enjoyed and not endured. Now Nollywood movies are known for releasing little or no information other than YouTube trailers and cinema showtimes about their movies (Don't ask me, ask them). So here's what I could muster up about the movies, enjoy. Keeping My Man Ramsey Noah plays the husband of one of three women who are on a quest to keep their marriages alive. The movie explores themes of love, deceit and betrayal. Murder at Prime Suites ” lays emphasis on betrayal, murder, lies, greed and lust. Special Agents of the Police Investigation Department (PID) – Special Agent Ted (Joseph Benjamin) and Agent Hauwa (Keira Hewatch) battle to unravel the mysteries behind the murder of a young lady, Florence Ngwu (Chelsea Eze), in an upscale hotel. What seemed like an open and close case soon turned into a battle of wits and backstabbing. |

300 returns!!!
The first images from 300: Rise of an Empire, along with some details about the film from director Noam Murro, have become available via USA Today.
Adapted from Frank Miller's graphic novel "Xerxes," the film takes place in a parallel time period to Zack Snyder's epic blockbuster 300. This time the battle will occur at sea. The Greek general Themistocles (Sullivan Stapleton) fights to unite Greece and battles an invading army of Persians lead by the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes (Roderigo Santoro) and Artemesia (Eva Green), the vengeful commander of the Persian navy.
Though 300: Rise of an Empire is under the direction of a new helmer, the film "is tied visually to the original," according to Murro. However, he adds, "there is a whole different choreography of fighting and war." 300 was principally set in one location, a narrow passage known as "Hot Gates" where the outnumbered Spartans worked to gain an advantage. This new film, however, "happens over time in many different locations. The opportunities for the six distinct battles are even greater with different locations and tactics.''
"The few against the many is still here," the director adds. "It's hundreds vs. hundreds of thousands. It's about taking on the mightiest power of all with wisdom and tactics." As to the film's hero, "Themistokles is battle-scarred and a warrior, but at the same time he's a politician," Murro says. "He's not the king. He has to rule in a democracy. It's a different complexity of character."
Snyder and Kurt Johnstad co-wrote the film which also stars Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, Igal Naor, Callan Mulvey, Jack O'Connell and Andrew Tiernan.
300: Rise of an Empire opens in theatres on August 2, 2013.

Luke Evans, who's appeared in such films as The Three Musketeers (2011) and The Raven (2012), will soon be headlining another literary classic adaptation, this time starring in Universal's Dracula Year Zero.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, this will mark the actor's first starring role for a studio, as he helps bring to life the dramatic horror origin story. Michael De Luca will produce the project, with commercials helmer Gary Shore making his directorial debut on the feature.
The story follows a man who, after his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.
The studio hopes to begin production on Dracula Year Zero later this year.

THE LAST STAND
But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy.
With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow.
Cortez' path: straight through Summerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement, including Agent John Bannister (Forest Whitaker) will have their final opportunity to intercept him before the violent fugitive slips across the border forever.
At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately rallies his team and takes the matter into his own hands, setting the stage for a classic showdown.
