Love is a beautiful, but beautiful as it may be, it hurts. Some more than most. Like planning a game of roulette, it's all up to chance.

This is a true story, but the names and locations have been changed to save the parties involved embarrassment.

David Amadi and Rachel Nkwo are a couple to envy, a love that lasted throughout their childhood to present time, now they're in their late twenties with their minds set on marriage, these two were made for each other.

However a great challenge befell them as Rachel's father sent her away to American University Yola to do her master's degree program, leaving David alone in Lagos. They tried to keep the fire burning with video calls and frequent sms chat, but soon looniest crept in, on cold nights they'd think about each other and dream of dying in the others embrace.

One day, Rachel thought it'd be fun to initiate a conference call between her, her friend Pamela and David. It was fun, Pamela had what can be described as a string sexual aura around her that can even be heard she felt over the phone. David was aroused. A few days later he received a friend request from an incredibly beautiful girl on Facebook, upon checking her name, and mutual friends he found out that this was without a doubt Rachel's Pamela.

Minutes after this Pamela called David and they both had a long chat where she revealed that she was in Lagos, and suggested that they hook up, David agreed knowing he's already falling down the bottomless pit of infidelity, but it was sweet, the tension and excitement of dating again... Something he hadn't experienced in the 6 years he dated Rachel.

The next day David meet with Pamela at a restaurant where she dazzled him with her beauty and sex. She reached underneath the table grabbing and stroking his crotch, promising him a night he'd never forget. David was sold, the thought of Rachel was fresh in his mind, but it's already been a year since they saw each other last. He began to created excuses in his head to justify the act he's about to commit. Telling himself that Rachel must have another guy in Yola, she's probably having sex daily while he roasts in the cold in Lagos.

First Three Marvel’s Luke Cage Episode Titles Revealed

Last week at the Marvel’s Luke Cage panel at San Diego Comic Con, series showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker (Notorious, “NCIS: Los Angeles”) revealed that each episode title would use the name of a song by the East coast hip hop group Gang Starr. Now, Coker has taken to Twitter to reveal the titles of the first three episodes. He says the first episode is titled “Moment of Truth,” the second “Code of The Streets,” and the third “Who’s Gonna Take The Weight?” Coke also promised three more titles would be revealed every Friday leading up to the show’s September 30 premiere.

After a sabotaged experiment leaves him with super strength and unbreakable skin, Luke Cage becomes a fugitive trying to rebuild his life in modern day Harlem, New York City. But he is soon pulled out of the shadows and must fight a battle for the heart of his city–forcing him to confront a past he had tried to bury.

Mike Colter leads a cast that also includes Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Frank Whaley as Rafael Scarfe, Mahershala Ali as Cottonmouth, Theo Rossi as Shades, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, and the return of Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple.

HBO confirms Game of Thrones Season 8 will conclude the series

Game of Thrones executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss previously teased that there would only be two more seasons of the fan-favorite series. Now,HBO has officially confirmed that Game of Thrones Season 8 will be the show’s conclusion. 

“Yes, they have a very specific plan about the number of seasons they want to do,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys said at TCA (via Entertainment Weekly). “Believe me, as the new [programming executive] coming in, if I could get them to do more. I would take 10 more seasons. But we take their lead on what they think they can do the best version of the show.”

Bloys was also asked about the potential for a Game of Thrones spin-off series, of which there has been much fan interest in online.

“We’ve talked about it, it’s something I’m not opposed to, but of course it has to make sense creatively. I’m not sure that the guys could really wrap their heads around it when they’re just about to start production. It’s a pretty intense production, they’re about to start production soon. I’m open to it. The guys weren’t opposed to it, but there’s no concrete plans for it at this point.”

Game of Thrones recently received 23 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most of any nominee for the third year in a row. This year’s nominations include Outstanding Drama Series, 2 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington), 3 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams), Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series (Max von Sydow), 2 for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Miguel Sapochnik, Jack Bender) and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss).

JUSTICE LEAGUE.

 Anyone who saw BATMAN V SUPERMAN, already know that movie was DC'S own backdoor channel making their own superhero team up film the JUSTICE LEAGUE, the movie version will comprise of SUPERMAN, BATMAN, WONDER WOMAN, FLASH, AQUA MAN  and CYBORG.

After her explosive appearance in BATMAN V SUPERMAN, we all knew we were going to see more of her, well our wishes and prayers have been answered.

DR STRANGE

This is a new comer to marvel's cinematic universe, while Thor's magic was explained as science we don't understand, Dr Strange's magic will be explained as magic we don't understand. Here's a synopsis.

After his career is destroyed, a brilliant but arrogant and conceited surgeon gets a new lease on life when a sorcerer takes him under her wing and trains him to defend the world against evil.

KING ARTHUR

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword is an upcoming British-American epic adventure film directed by Guy Ritchie and written by Joby Harold. The film stars Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur. It is scheduled to be released on March 24, 2017

Hello Screen Addicts, as we enter a new week we get to experience the magic of Kunle Afolayan's the C.E.O. its getting all kings of great reviews from bloggers, websites, and film critics alike, so I will look into it. It's always a pleasure watching Nigerian movies improve in quality , its an awesome feeling.

There's also plenty to laugh about in The Rock and Kevin Hart's new comedy Central Intelligence, while the movie itself lacks intelligence its a bundle of crazy fun and a lesson in self improvement. The Rock proves once again he can switch from serious, to crazy to funny on demand. its a joy ride from start to end.

BLACK PANTHER CAST ADDED

Black Panther cast confirmed, new logo debuts!
Straight from the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con comes confirmation of the cast for Marvel’s Black Panther, along with a new logo for the highly-anticipated film.

Chadwick Boseman will star as the title hero of course, reprising his role from Captain America: Civil War and he’s joined by Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fruitvale Station), who will play Erik Killmonger (a villain in the source material), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as Nakia (a former member of Wakanda’s Dora Milaje, now an agent of Killmonger, and Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) as Okoye (a member of the Dora Milaje, the wives-in-training for the King of Wakanda).

“I want to thank you for your energy, we’re gonna take it, work hard, and we’ll see you soon,” director Ryan Coogler said on stage. Production on the film begins in January in Atlanta, Georgia.

Coogler is both writing and directing Black Panther, which will continue the story of Boseman’s T’Challa, the warrior King of Wakanda, following his debut in this summer’s Captain America: Civil War. It’s unclear what other characters will appear in the film, though Andy Serkis’ Ulysses Klaw, who made his debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron, is one strong possibility given the villain’s role in the comics. It’s also quite likely that we’ll see the return of Martin Freeman’s Civil War character Everett Ross who, in the comics, worked closely with T’Challa.

CINEMA MOVIE WEEKLY SCHEDULE

A sequel of the 1996 sci-fi hit Independence Day starring Will Smith. The first let down of the sequel is that Will Smith refused to reprise his role as Captain Steven Hiller the smart talking quick witted hero of the movie. Instead the producers decided to replace him by saying he died and his son followed in his foot steps and is now the face of the new air force training program dedicated to fighting aliens.

That being said, the synopsis is as follows:
Two decades after the first Independence Day invasion, Earth is faced with a new extra-Solar threat. But will mankind's new space defenses be enough?

Seems simple enough right? but low and behold the mess up begins, firstly with the introduction of Hiller's son Dylan Hiller played by Jessie T. Usher. Dude was at best a cheerleader, completely irrelevant and contributed nothing to the movie, a poor man's Will Smith. The new hero of the movie came in the likes of Liam Hemsworth's Jake Morrison a best friend and partner of Dylan Hiller.

Characters of Vivica A. Fox who's supposed to be Dylan Hiller's mum only purpose was serving old fans the cold dish of returning cast to keep the feeling of it being a sequel warm. Her role was more unnecessary than the role of young Hiller. And I gotta say this, 30 mins to 40 mins into the movie, there's a father-daughter connection between Chinese pilot Rain Lao and her Uncle Commander Jian was practically useless and unnecessary because he dies, and the girl's character takes a back seat and her revenge isn't even achieved.

The entire focus of the movie was special effect, high speed alien battles, and to reinforce a reason to create INDEPENDENCE DAY 3.

THE LEGEND OF TARZAN REVIEW

Hello screen addicts, this is one late review but better late than never. That being said, this is one movie I knew from the get go was going to be epically awesome.

If you're a 90's or 80's or hell even 60's baby you know the story of Tarzan the ape man and Jane the damsel that tamed him. For new comers here's a little run down of the origin story; after the death of his parents, Tarzan was raised by apes from infancy and adapted to the animal kingdom by learning how to relate with all the animals in the jungle until he met Jane who rehabilitated him and brought him back to society.

Now that's out of the way the movie picks up some 10 years after Tarzan leaves the jungle, and he's now a lord after inheriting his father's estate and is of course married to Jane.

Tempting as it may be I choose to keep my reviews spoiler free. The movie synopsis is as follows:

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

The Legend Of Tarzan stars Alexander Skarsgård (Tarzan), Margot Robbie (Jane), Samuel L. Jackson (The guy that helps the hero), Christoph Waltz (The bad guy as usual), Djimon Hounsou (Bad guy 2).

The all star cast didn't disappoint expect action, drama, stellar performances, apes with six packs and biceps that'll make the Rock blush and a fantastic end sequence that made me clap.


Rating: 8.9

A solid effort. But Christoph Waltz was underutilized.

THE FLASH REWINDS TIME AGAIN

While i have never really had any ill feelings towards The Flash, I was never really fond of him until the 2014 series staring Grant Gustin as the titular hero. Then i was so engrossed i started cheating by reading the DC comics to get ahead of the tv series. Flash in my opinion is the best superhero show ever to touch tv period. (sorry Arrow, sorry Agents Of Shield).

With the close of season 2 having a lot of mixed reviews such as the unsatisfying ending, the fight not being as epic as the one at the end of season 1. But not the worry there's hope in the horizon some where. Grant Gustin himself aka Barry Allen has revealed the plot of season 3 will follow the comic saga called FLASHPOINT. Those who know the comics will agree that this will be the best of the three seasons if executed properly.

Barry feeling the loss of his dad and his mum at the close of season two, runs back to the past to undo the actions of Reverse Flash which resulted in the death of his mum, thus saving his mum and dad. While that's not really bad, things go awry as the entire timeline and history is changed forever with consequences that even the Flash with all his speed might not be able to outrun.

Keiynan Lonsdale will also come full circle as Kid Flash.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramo, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. Season 2 of the series also introduced Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and the Earth-2 version of The Flash as played by John Wesley Shipp (who also played Barry’s father, Henry Allen). The Flash season 3 premiere is already set to debut on The CW on Tuesday, October 4 at 8 PM ET.

Return Of Michael Scofield

Everyone who loves series has seen Prison Break, and if there are new comers to series binge watching, this is a must see.

After the close of season 4 we were barely able of come to terms with the shocking end that was the demise of Micheal Scofield. Girls cried, and guys screamed why at the top of their voices while kneeling shirtless in the rain.

But fear not, for the powers that be have decided to bring back our boys (not chibok boys oh), so we're gonna have a season 5 after all, and while casting is still on, we expect all the series regulars to return.

Synopsis: Seven years later, thanks to an information provided by T-Bag, Lincoln and Sara discover that Michael is still alive in a Yemen prison (really? Again?), so they develop a plan to get him out.

Hello Screen Addicts, now we've settled the business of the day which is movie posts, lets laugh at some memes i found this morning.

2016 the year superheroes just cant get along, but bad guys can, CAPTAIN AMERICA : CIVIL WAR, BATMAN VS SUPERMAN. Why cant they just be like nice old SUICIDE SQUAD, I mean see how happy Harley Quinn is.

BATMAN AND SUPERMAN are cool, but then there's LINCOLN AND DARYL of THE WALKING DEAD. If you haven't seen it, you should start from the beginning its awesome.

Really.... there's no reason anyone wont absolutely love STAR WARS.

THOR''S BROTHER IS A COWBOY

Liam Hemsworth, kid brother to Chris Hemsworth (Thor), returns to screen after a successful series run in Hunger Games, and coincidentally his Hunger Games co-star Woody Harrlson also stars alongside in this western thriller THE DUEL.

Written by Matt Cook and directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith, we're promised a gritty action packed western. The synopsis is as follows: A Texas Ranger (Liam Hemsworth) investigates a series of murders in an Old West town that's run by a former Confederate officer (Woody Harrelson).

So taking a break from superhero and comic movies we're gonna be treated to some grit and gore. THE DUEL OPENS JUNE 24, 2016

COLLIN RETURNS FOR KINGSMAN TOOO

Great news Screen Addicts, while i was up by 2am today wondering why my sleep eludes me, i stumbled on some juicy news. Our favorite character from the 2015 hit spy action comedy KINGSMAN: SECRET SERVICE, Looking back on the scene where he was murdered, the entire cinema was in mourning, because even if we knew he wasn't the star of the movie, i believe one can say he totally owned the whole movie.

Plus the ultimate death in a movie is such that you are killed in such a way that you would never return, example, a detailed car bomb, hanging, beheading (ok, i better stop now starting to sound like a psycho killer) or in the case of Galahad, Collin Firth's character, he was shot in the head at close range, meaning if ever he's coming back it should be as a flashback.

But the power of the internet prevails once again as WE the hungry fans refused to let anyone replace Collin, so the producers of the movie summoned the wisest writers from far and wide to con-cut a delectable bullshit story to explain how a man that was shot at point blank range with the exist wound from the back of his skull returns.

Either way we're happy he's back. KINGSMAN: GOLDEN CIRCLE ( No affiliation or relation to the over popularized Nigerian branded condom), will be opening  JUNE 16, 2017. Elton John, Vinnie Jones and Jeff Bridges are set to appear as well.

SCREEN ADDICTS, i greet you all. Today is day one of the weeks cinema rush, so here's what is showing in FILM HOUSE CINEMAS PORT HARCOURT (SPAR)  this week.

This is the new take on Tarzan, and i can guranteee is going to be the most action packed take on the jungle man's story. I'm gonna see this one.

Here's something for the kids, this cartoon is breaking all kinds of records world wide is a sequel to the hit FINDING NEMO.

Well no Will Smith in this sequel.... it better kickass. (this movie is a sequel the the original which was titled INDEPENDENCE DAY)

This is sure winner.

Nollywood, loved the trailer, lets see if they nailed it.

This movie got complaints, but hey....

Good morning, Good afternoon and Good evening Screen Addicts of the world. Today we begin another exciting journey into the endless abyss that is ''Cinema''. She excites us, thrillers us and makes us cry (That's like listening to an entire album of Dido or Asa). With that said lets begin shall we?....

Mel Gibson stars in a new action thriller tentatively titled BLOOD FATHER, this shouldnt be a surprise looking back at his action history in the past, He's done the original Mad Max series which begun in 1979 (Yes, he's that old, and I'm that nerdy), then he did Lethal Weapon in 1987, so its no big surprise hes staring in a movie called BLOOD FATHER, if anything I'd say its about damn time.

SYNOPSIS

An ex-con reunites with his estranged wayward 16-year old daughter to protect her from drug dealers who are trying to kill her. 
BLOOD FATHER will open August 12 in cinemas but till then carry this trailer hold belle.
