Michael Douglas Speaks On Antman

Acting legend Michael Douglas has scored his first super hero movie, he has remained tight lipped about his role in the upcoming Marvel hero movie  Antman, but we do suspect he's somewhat of a scientist.

No official synopsis has been given, being that movie wouldn't be out till 2015, but any avid comic book reader knows that ; Ant Man follows the story of lab scientist Hank Pym as he creates the ability to shrink and grow the human body to extreme sizes and communicate and control ants ( that's a lot to process right? ).

The comics have enjoyed mainstream success and Antman is also a founding member of The Avengers ( in the comics that is). So fingers are crossed as we await more media about this movie. The cast includes ;Evangeline Lilly as Hope, Paul Rudd, Scott Lang,Michael Douglas as Hank Pym and the lead role goes to House Of Cards star Cory Stoll as Darren Cross.

NOLLYWOOD PICKS

Yeah! So in Nollywood we always like to react to the happening in our society whatever way we can. Be it social media or home videos. So here's the synopsis ;

"This is a story which comes from an off shoot of the Nigerian terrorism experience. It follows the life of an aid, a young man who comes into the city of Lagos on a mission to detonate a bomb killing of 2500 people. Somehow, fate and destiny intertwined and he found a little more than he bargained for.

The movie Boko Haram was produced and directed by Pascal Amanfo and stars African Movie Academy Awards best actor Majid Michel, and other A-list actors and actresses."

So make a budget for Part 1 and 2
PS: The producer of this movie was arrested. Loool.

In Finding Mercy, a pair of thugs break into what they believe to be an empty house and get more than they bargain for when they are confronted by a heavily pregnant woman who is about to go into labour. Blossom Chukwujekwu, Uti Nwachukwu, Rita Dominic, Desmond Elliot, Chioma Chukwuka Akpotha.

Don't forget to budget for Part 1 and 2.

JOLIE'S SIMPLY MALEFICENT

Hello screen addicts!!! Today we're going to be reviewing Angelina Jolie's new fantasy movie "Maleficent ".

The synopsis is as follows ; A vengeful fairy is driven to curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land.

As always there would be no spoilers. Angelina came off as a natural and delivered a deep eccentric portrayal of the evil/ misunderstood fairy. The movie is a reimaging  of the Disney epic "Sleeping Beauty " but told from the perspective of the evil fairy / witch. We get to see her origins and how she came to be feared and evil. The movie plays around the theme of "Every Evil has a beginning ".

South African based actor Sharlto Copley played the villain the best way possible, adding drama and emotional depth to the character. Also watch out for "crow man" Sam Riley.

Joke Of The Day : Sexy Secretary

Something you all need to see, it's gonna crack you up. Hehehehehe

EXPENDABLES 3RD TIME'S THE CHARM

The 3Rd outing of Barney Ross's gang, is tad bit lighter than the 2nd, which had the muscles from Brussels Van Damn as Jean Villain, (I wonder if anyone caught that pun in his name) and the Internet and martial arts legend Chuck Norris. With little to worry about the new entrants are Wesley Snipes as Doc, Antonio Bandarass as Galgo, Kelsy Grammar and Harrison Ford As Max Drummer.

According to IMDB the synopsis is as follows ; Barney and his team, known as "The Expendables", come into conflict with ruthless arms dealer Conrad Stonebanks (Mel Gibson) the Expendables' co-founder, who is determined to destroy the team.

The movie explores the future of the Expendables as they're faced with a new challenge, an ex member who knows how they play. So new blood are hired. Being that Expendables is a call back to the 90's genre this one is more update. With humour and action, but not as ground breaking as Expendables 2.

Rating : 7.5/10 could be better.

Nkiru Sylvianus, our very own Nollywood actress premiered her new film titled "The Voice " at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos (as usual) . And there has been no official synopsis of the film released yet (as usual) , so we all have to take this information with a grain of salt (as usual) .

Among the guests and special guests were; Nkiru, Chika Ike, Betty Njoku, Doris Simeone, the Imo State Deputy Governor, among many others.

But the poster is promising though! ;)

Fast And Furious 7 Wraps Up

‎It's a wrap!!!! Production has official wrapped on director James Wan's Fast & Furious 7 and the team of speedsters  has just shared the following message, celebrating the end of the production and again paying tribute to the late Paul Walker (We miss him so much) , whose Brian O'Conner will ride one more time when the film hits theaters April 3, 2015.

"Today we completed the last shot in the production of FAST & FURIOUS 7.

We wanted to take this moment to express how thankful we are for your support. We felt the love and strength from our fans throughout this journey, and it's because of you that we got here.

There was a time when we didn't know how we could go on, or even if we should. But we listened to you, and you inspired us not only to keep going but to try and make the best FAST & FURIOUS movie yet.

Our FAST family has been together for almost fifteen years now and has grown a lot in that time. From the start, Vin has been our leader who feels what's right for FAST in his gut and in his heart. When we had to stop production last year, Vin gathered us back together and moved us forward when we needed it most. He led us to this day.

Some of us have been here from the very beginning. Vin, Michelle, Jordana and our producer Neal all go back to that first little movie we shot on the streets of LA. We came back to LA in FAST 7, and it was an especially emotional homecoming for those who've grown up with each other since that first shoot.

There are those we count as brothers who we gathered along the way and are with us again: Dwayne, Tyrese, Luda, Lucas and our writer, Chris. We've got some new additions this time in Jason, Kurt, Djimon, Nathalie and our director, James. Caleb and Cody joined us to honor their brother and help complete his work.

Our family is big and strong but it won't ever quite be whole again without Paul.

All of us -- those who've been here from the start and those whose first FAST film is 7 -- wanted to create a special film for him and for you. We believe we have.

Thank you for being there for us. You are the biggest part of our family, and we couldn't have gotten here without you.

The countdown to April 3 begins.

With love,

Your FAST & FURIOUS Family
