New Nokia Lumia

Nokia's top-of-the-line Windows Phone 7 device, the Lumia 900, is now available for $50 plus a two-year contract exclusively from AT&T. The handset, which we reviewed two and a half months ago, scored an 8/10 and is by far the best Windows Phone 7 device currently on the market.

However, potential buyers should note that the Lumia 900, along with all current WP7 devices, will not be eligible for the Windows Phone 8 update coming later this year. As we reported, WP8 will support higher screen resolutions, better processors, NFC, and many more additional functions, but WP7 phones, like the Lumia 900 will receive an incremental update with some of the Windows Phone 8 features, such as an improved home screen.

Since releasing, the Lumia 900 has been available for $100 plus a two-year contract. Amazon Wireless is also currently selling the 900 for $50 less, for just one cent, plus the two-year contract.
